Director of Nursing - Long Term Care - Care Center
A registered nurse who serves as a clinical and professional role model and consultant within the Long-
Term Care (LTC) Nursing unit. Accepts 24-hour responsibility for the unit and is accountable for the
nursing management of the LTC unit to assure delivery of quality care for the well being of the residents
in the facility. Maintains a positive clinical environment to promote cohesiveness within the unit,
department, and organization. Actively participates in organization-wide committees. Demonstrates
ethical and appropriate behavior for the clinical environment. Demonstrates a leadership style that supports and directs staff while fostering participative,
autonomous, and achievement-oriented behavior. Plans, organizes, develops, and evaluates the overall
operation of the Care Center/Assisted Living Facility Nursing Services department, in accordance with
State, Federal and facility regulations. Implements facility policies and procedures.
