Staffing Coordinator - NMH - P/T
The Staffing Clerk calculates staffing needs for each nursing unit, based upon budget and acuity. He/she makes adjustments to the schedule in order to maintain appropriate staffing levels. The Clerk monitors the schedules to identify upcoming staffing issues and addresses issues proactively. He/she also maintains illness record, processes schedule exchanges and data reports. The Staffing Clerk reports to the Vice President of Patient Care Services. This is a .6 FTE, with possibility of permanent.
REQUIREMENTS: 1) high school graduate with secretarial and computer training. previous experience in hospital/office procedures preferred; 2) beginning typing skills of 35 wpm, ability to run office machines; 3) verbal skills including sentence structure and grammar; 4) professional telephone etiquette; 5) demonstrate basic mathematical skills; 6) able to work with people; 7) able to make decisions; 8) able to follow detailed verbal and written instruction; and 9) ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

Salary is commensurate with up to 10 years of experience.
