Director of Laboratory
The Laboratory Director has the authority delegated by the Vice President of Professional Services to plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and evaluate the services of the Laboratory for Northern Montana Healthcare Inc. that includes the laboratory sites of NMH, Family Medical Center, and Specialty Medical Center. The position is to be considered at the Director level and is responsible directly to the Vice President of Professional Services.
Requirements: Undergraduate degree in a related science; Registered Medical Technologist in a recognized credentialing agency of the US Department of Education; state licensure for Clinical Laboratory Scientist; supervisory ability, amiable personality, ability to make sound judgments, and ability to maintain an empathetic and understanding attitude toward patients; must be good in physical and emotional health; innovative, resourceful, interested in learning new skills; must have experience in, or potential ability to perform departmental management duties; ability to work with employees, administration, and physicians; minimum of three (3) years of work experience in an acute care facility; and acute awareness of compliance with standards of professional ethics in performance of responsibility.
